Glensheen Estate Wedding | Duluth, MN | Rachel + Aaron
You know it’s a Minnesota wedding when everyone –EVERYONE– comments on the weather. Minnesotans are slightly more weather obsessed than, say, their California counterparts, because our weather has been known to swing 100 degrees in a matter of days.
Rachel and Aaron had a spectacular day for their outdoor ceremony at the beautiful Glensheen Estate. Bright blue skies dotted with cottony clouds, gardens in full bloom, and a slight breeze ruffled the waters of Lake Superior on August 6, 2016.
Their dog, Yoshi, couldn’t be at the ceremony, so he donned a celebratory tuxedo from home.
Rachel carried a bouquet of calla lilies, dahlias, orchids, and roses, and she chose to have a first look with her bridesmaids, so they could see the full impact of her stunning ivory dress and crystal headband.
Glensheen is full of quaint brick and stone work, lovely views, and old world charm.
Rachel’s bridesmaids wore bright turquoise dresses and comfy white shoes to ensure they’d be able to dance the night away at the Radisson ballroom. (And they did!)
Tears are a good thing at a wedding. It means people love you.
Rachel and Aaron chose not to see each other before the ceremony, so they could share that moment, that one women dream of, when their groom sees them for the first time while they walk down the aisle.
Vows were tearfully read, kisses stolen, and rings exchanged.
Congratulations, Aaron and Rachel, on finding the one whom your soul loves. Your forever partner in crime.
Here’s to a long and happy life together.
